Since her diagnosis when she was 21 months old, Adrienne has endured unimaginable procedures and treatments. Despite it all, my daughter has proven to be a true inspiration. She continues to live life to its fullest, demonstrating amazing strength and bravery. I am extremely grateful that she has responded as well as she has, and she has done so with a positive attitude and fighting spirit.Although my family and I are going through one of the hardest things a family could go through, we are still very much aware of the countless blessings that we have been given. We have an amazing support system, and the kindness, concern, and generosity that have been shown to us are incomparable. We are also so grateful for the incredible medical attention that Adrienne has received at one of the best Children's cancer centers in the nation. Adrienne’s cancer, high-risk neuroblastoma, is tough, but at least there is a standard protocol that has been successful.Adrienne's treatment is planned through summer 2013. We realize we must continue on this journey to get to where we want to be and to have her with us as long as possible. For now, we will follow Adrienne's lead and believe that "the sun will come out tomorrow."-CherylEpidemiologistDivision of HIV/AIDS Prevention – Surveillance and EpidemiologyCaregiver to Adrienne, Neuroblastoma
